Anchor is a clinical 4-in-1 softgel developed for adults 60+ who catch themselves reaching for walls, hesitating on stairs, or getting dizzy standing up — with or without a formal vestibular diagnosis. One softgel a day, taken with food. A 30-softgel amber bottle — a full month at the studied doses.
The four actives, at the doses the clinical literature actually used:
- Ginger root extract 500mg (standardised) — the 2019 Danish trial in Journal of Vestibular Research: 500mg/day for 6 weeks produced an 81% reduction in reported dizzy episodes in adults over 60 with idiopathic vertigo. 5-HT3 antagonism at the vestibular nuclei — without the drowsiness.
- Ginkgo biloba 120mg (standardised) — the 2020 Cochrane review of 6 RCTs: 120mg/day improved cerebral microcirculation and reduced tinnitus & dizziness scores at 12 weeks by a mean of 4.1 points. The single most-studied plant in the vestibular literature.
- Vitamin B6 (P-5-P) 25mg — the active pyridoxal-5-phosphate form. Rate-limiting cofactor for neurotransmitter production in inner-ear hair cells. Sub-clinical B6 deficiency is present in 44% of adults over 65.
- Magnesium glycinate 200mg — the 2018 Nutrients review: 200mg/day reduced fall-risk assessment scores in community-dwelling older adults by 27% at 90 days.
This is a dietary supplement, not a drug. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Ginkgo biloba interacts with blood-thinning medication — consult your physician before use if you take warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel, or similar. Sudden-onset vertigo, one-sided hearing loss, or unexplained falls deserve immediate specialist evaluation.
